A Jewish-Lutheran Conversation about Israel

7:00 PM - 8:30 PMGrace Lutheran ChurchPlease join us at Grace Lutheran Church, River Forest, on Sunday, November 12, at 7:00 p.m. as we gather to discuss various positions and perspectives on the State of Israel. David Heim of The Christian Century will moderate a conversation between Rabbi Yehiel Poupko (Rabbinic Scholar, Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago) and Dr. Peter Pettit (Associate Professor of Religious Studies, Muhlenberg College). The evening will also include conversation with Rabbi Max Weiss of Oak Park Temple and Pastor Dave Lyle of Grace Lutheran Church, who recently traveled together to Israel and had the unique opportunity to view a variety of holy sites through one another’s eyes. A light reception will follow the presentation. All are welcome.
